QNAP Releases QVR Human Version 2.0, QVR Human performs server-side counts and analysis

Taipei, Taiwan, June 28, 2023 – QNAP Systems, Inc., a leading computing, networking and storage solution innovator, today launched QNAP QVR Human version 2.0 – a people counting solution with new features such as Area Density analytics, event notification, heat map, and more. QNAP QVR Human provides traffic flow statistics, allowing users to make better decisions for increasing sales conversion rates, optimizing staffing schedules, and improving services and marketing effectiveness.

Compared to using the same quantity of expensive AI/people counting cameras, QNAP QVR Human performs server-side counts and analysis, providing cost-effectiveness to retail stores and organizations. Users can also benefit from the flexibility of choosing IP cameras that suit their needs and budget as QNAP QVR Human is compatible with over 6,700 IP cameras and ONVIF-compatible cameras.

Key features of QNAP QVR Human 2.0

  • Supports various video sources
    • QNAP QVR Human analyzes live video streams from various sources including RTSP, QVR Pro, and QVR Elite servers.
  • Area Density support [New]
    • Calculates the density level by setting the upper limit of the number of people in a specific area. Use this feature as a notification if someone enters a prohibited area.
  • Cross-line Counting
    • Detects the number of people who walk-in/out of the lines. Up to 4 detection lines (straight/polyline) can be defined for each channel.
  • Event notification [New]
    • Sends an event notification (such as exceeding the threshold).
  • Overview [New]
    • See all camera channels, detection lines, and created tasks. Get people traffic statistics in real-time on the dashboard for better management of on-site people flow and operations.
  • Smart report [New]
    • Visualize previous data in a chart or heat map to understand traffic trends. Users can filter based on specific dates and download reports to CSV files.
  • Use a Hailo-8 to boost AI performance [New]
    • Install a Hailo-8 M.2 AI acceleration module to a QNAP surveillance server for boosted AI recognition performance – fulfilling highly-efficient, precise, large-scale smart surveillance with much lower running costs.

QNAP offers a free 1-month trial that includes 2 camera channels for Cross-line Counting or Area Density tasks. Users can purchase a license plan to add more camera channels.
